
Big Spoon: Botanical Fizz Cocktail
Ingredients

2 oz of your preferred gin of choice

1 oz. St. Germaine elderflower liqueur

Non alcoholic option or replacement for St. Germain: Lavender Syrup

Create your own homemade lavender simple syrup by following instructions below.

1 oz. grapefruit juice

3 fresh sage leaves
-
Grapefruit or classic Pellegrino mineral water
Instructions

Place ingredients including sage leaves in a cocktail shaker. (Do not use Pellegrino yet)

Muddle sage leaves with bar spoon

Fill cocktail shaker with ice

Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour over ice and top with Pellegrino

Garnish with a grapefruit slice and lavender sprig for aroma
Lavender Syrup Ingredients

¾ cups of water

¾ cups of sugar
-
3 tablespoons of food-grade dried lavender
Directions

Put all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer

Stir to make sure sugar dissolves completely

Once dissolved- Take off heat and steep for 10 minutes

Use a mesh strainer to separate the lavender flowers and buds from the syrup

The syrup will keep for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator

Pour into an airtight container
